1926年生于上海。自号“采花大盗”、“风流先生”。

1984年毕业于上海美术专科学校，1951年前往巴黎，1958年移居纽约，曾在世界各地举办六十多次个展，作品以绝丽的色彩著称，享誉国际。

出版：

1964年他著作一本名为《一分人生》的诗集，书中收录了二十多位欧美名家的版画作品，其中包括弗朗西斯、安迪．渥荷等人。

1967和1969年又出版《中国月光》和《酸辣汤》的诗集与石版版画书，呈现了他喜爱诗文的面貌；

1977年古根汉基金会提供奖学金，邀请丁雄泉出版了一本画集《朱唇》，书中收录一系列的情色素描及绘画。

World-famous painter, Walasse Ting was born in Wuxi, China in 1929. 

In 1946 he moved to Hongkong and to Paris in 1952, where he has established a close relationship with the Group COBRA and especially with Pierre Alechinsky who became his friend for all his life. In 1960, he emigrated to New York, and became a popular artist. In 2001, he began to settle in Amsterdam(Netherlands where he is still living. From 1952 to 2002, in France, Netherlands, Canada, Sweeden, Spain, Siggapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Shanghai, he hosted more than 100 exhibitions.

In 2002, Walasse Ting had a brain attack and unfortunately passed away forever in May of 2010.

Hs must-color and bold expression show an independent and unique style, out of the mainstream style. Walasse Ting liked to call himself Caihua Thief" or "Mister Merry". He is inimitable to brush in a decent way and to eulogize the attraction, the softness and the passion of the enteral feminine.
