第一届西班牙摄影节(PhotoEspana)举办于1998年，至今已经发展成世界上最大的摄影展会之一。今年，这一视觉艺术的盛会6月3日至7月26日举行，共包含74场展览，其中31场在官方区域进行，而“节外展览”则广泛分布于博物馆、画廊、艺术中心及其他各种展厅。本次摄影节的主题为“每日”(The Everyday)，参展览项目紧密围绕与“每日”有关的三个方面，即：“每日”作为摄影的原材料;“每日”的摄影阐释;大师摄影作品中的“每日”生活。
玛吉画廊艺术家金石的个展“不现实的现实”在此次摄影节上获得“Off Festival Saab Award(节外最佳展览奖)”。金石1976年生于中国河南，毕业于中国美术学院雕塑系，现生活、工作于杭州。在本次展览中，《1/2生活》、《营·生》、《小买卖》系列等装置、摄影作品向我们展示了金石所发现的中国底层社会现实的方方面面，以及深埋其中的世俗活力与幽默情绪。更重要的是，这些作品不只体现出艺术家本人对于边缘生活的人性关怀，它们还激发出潜于观众内心的对于存在感的普遍寻求。
Jin Shi's Solo Exhibition Awarded Off Festival Saab Award in PhotoEspaña 2009
Magee Art Gallery is pleased to announce that artist Jin Shi's Solo Exhibition "Unrealistic Reality" has won the Off Festival Saab Award in PhotoEspaña 2009. Featuring "1/2 Life" , "Make a Living", the "Small Business" series as well as other installation and photography works by Jin Shi, "Unrealistic Reality" displays to the audience - with energy and humor - different aspects of the lower Chinese society as they are seen in the artist's eyes. This collection of works not only reflects the humanistic concern the artist carries but also attempts to provoke the mutual yearning for the sense of existence hidden in the audience's heart.
Inaugurated in 1998, PhotoEspaña has become one of the largest photography fairs in the world over the decade. The 2009 edition of the fair is held from June 3 to July 26, with exhibitions on fair ground as well as in museums, galleries, art centers and other exhibition venues, some of which are among the most important in Spain. PhotoEspaña 2009 takes "Everyday" as its theme. All exhibition projects are closely related to three aspects of the concept: "everyday" as photographic materials; photographic interpretation of "everyday"; and the "everyday" life in photographic masterpieces.
Jin Shi was born in Henan Province in 1976, and graduated from the Department of Sculpture of China Academy of Fine Arts. He is represented by Magee Art Gallery ( Beijing | Madrid ). He currently lives and works in Hangzhou.
