作品展现一座城市由远处观察时所呈现的形态:高塔,穹顶,教堂的塔尖,密集如网的灯火和空中的缕缕青烟,一片幻想中的净土,一种理想的生活和境遇。从远处我们可以看见城市的港口,机场跑道,河流,道路和铁路;同时,也可以看见荒地,突兀的屋檐和奇特的平台。这座城市不断地离我们远去,慢慢地变成完全不同的另一座城市。我们依旧在搜寻着这座城市的大小和可以让我们穿梭,纵身于其中的信息。晚上,我们在楼群中穿行,看着闪烁的广告牌和摇曳的霓虹灯,感受着身边的车水马龙。“远瞰城市”是一个基于不断变化的城市规划和建筑构建无数城市的软件。移动的摄像机和不断进行着的编辑正制作着一部永不终结的电影。
The city is taking shape in the distance, the outlines of towers, domes and spires, a network of lights, fumes in the sky: the idea of a place, of a name, of a way to live and to pass by. In the distance, the city opens harbours and runways, rivers, roads, railways, in other areas wasteland, penetrating overhangs and impossible floors. The city is moving away from us, becoming another city, becoming something else entirely: we are still searching for its measure, and the knowledge we need to be able to go through and move away with it. At night we run along the buildings. Slogans are flashing at us. The lights are flickering. The cars are moving by. "Far from the cities" is a software that generates an infinite number of cities following plans and structures that are different every time. The moving camera and the editing are in themselves generating an endless film.

展厅中央悬挂着两块白色窗帘,随风摇曳,使投影在上头的窗户若隐若现。它的配乐让人联想起刮着阵阵狂风的景象。伴随着景象中白昼黑夜的更替,这个装置创造了一种唯美的外部世界与内部空间分离又混淆的幻错觉。
Two white curtains are suspended in a room, moved by wind, revealing the presence of a luminous window. The soundtrack reminds us a landscape crisscrossed by gusts of wind. The illusion of a separation between an external world and an inner space is suggested, accompanied by a landscape constantly changing from night to day.

“群山” 展示了一个具有极速地理时间的世界,其中延绵不断的山脉以非同寻常的速度生长、进化。受艺术家在世界各地拍摄到的一系列风景照片的启发,本作品试图以录像的形式展现山脉的起源和形成过程。作品的声音部分由舒伯特的降E大调三重奏改编而成,表现了一股来自地下的强大能量和某种不安。
Mountains (455 seconds) shows a mineral world in motion, where mountains are evolving in a virtual and a speeded up geological time. Inspired by a series of landscapes photographed by the artist all over the world, the video suggests a return to their origin and their formation. The soundtrack evoques a powerful underground, and disturbing force, which is combined step by step with the Trio in E Flat by Schubert-0.

“植物话语”好似一个由音乐植物组成的小花园, 特别之处在于其中的植物都具有唱歌的能力。每一株植物通过发出不同的声音对观众的轻触和温度作出反应。观者的触摸和靠近触发这一植物语言或植物之歌。我们身体所携带的不可见的弱电是实现这种交互的关键。这些植物在观者的轻抚下悠悠吟唱,为观众带来一场特殊的音乐会。
Akousmaflore is a small garden composed of living musical plants, which react to human gestures and to gentle contact. Each plant reacts in a different way to contact or warmth by producing a specific sound. The plant's language or song occurs through touch and the close proximity of the spectator. Our invisible electrical aura acts on the plant branches and encourages them to react. The plants sing when the audience is touching or stroking them lightly. A plant concert is created.

有时候我们会对某些矿物或石头投以特别的关注。它们的各异形态是时间之手的杰作。破碎的或是光亮的,混合的或是风化的,它们中的每一个都具有独特的振动(频率)和自己的历史。某些传说中提到,石头会唱歌,或是石头中蕴含着某种能量。
这件互动装置“能歌之石”以一种艺术,诗意的方式诉说着这些传说。这件作品由5块石头和盛有水的金属盆组成。当观众将手放在石头上时,便会激发起一种“共鸣”。肢体和石头间的轻触演被转换成声波,在水表面泛起可见的层层涟漪。绵绵不绝的声波震动在水的表面逐渐绘制出几何图形,其形态变幻直接取决于人与石头之间的接触强度。
Sometimes we are particularly attracted to certain minerals and stones. Their various forms are meticulously forged by time. Broken, polished, composite or fossilized, each one of them bears a natural vibration and a story.
Certain legends tell us that stones can sing or have energy.
In the interactive installation Kymapetra we introduce an artistic and poetic approach on these various beliefs. The artwork is made of 5 stones and a central basin with water. The spectator, when placing his hand above a stone, enters in resonance with it. The light touch between body and matter turns into sound vibrations. Those become visible on the water surface in a myriad of ripples. The propagation of the acoustic vibrations on the surface slowly draws a geometrical composition. The figures vary according to the intensity of the contact between the person and the stones.

Using the methods of the nineteenth century to create ghosts on stage, the small optical theater incorporates video characters into sets made of volumes. From the operator of facial surgery to the teleporter of living objects and the mental image viewer, Pierrick Sorin creates a future ruled by wacky technology, for better but mostly for worse. The artist embodies the different characters and conducts, through his staging riddled with patched special effects, a form of homage to the cinema of Georges Melies.

这件装置由一根穿过虚无安静空间的钢丝构成。观者可以通过触摸感受钢丝内穿行的振动波,如果将耳朵贴在金属丝上,甚至可以听到内部的振动波。听觉信号由不断变化的风声合成样本实时编辑而成。
A steel wire crosses an empty and silent space. The vibratory waves running inside become perceptible through contact and one can listen by pressing an ear against the metal. Audio signal is composed in real-time through infinite variations based on wind phonographic samples and synthesis.

同名作品最初的版本创作于2006年,设想以巨幅静态灯箱的形式展现一颗不知名星球上正在进行的造城工程的浩大场景。从2010年开始,艺术家在原作基础上进一步发展作品的概念以及呈现方式,于是诞生了新版的作品:这枚未名星球将以彻底数字化的方式存在于赛博空间(cyberspace),星球上城建工程的兴、衰、亡、毁,或再生、迁移,“模拟”着文明的发展境遇,而驱动这枚数字星球命运的恰恰是地球人类的现实境遇:重大的科学发现、地区经济的高速发展或股市的跌荡、战争、移民潮、气候变化、自然灾害……这些都会动态作用于未名星球。艺术家借助计算机与通讯技术“设定”了这样一种“生成关联”,实际上,作品的发展已经超越了作者的主观编排,理论上,这枚未名星球可以无限期地存在于赛博空间,直至关联母体的消亡。
Hu Jieming uses computer 3D techniques to mould a celestial body of 1000 cm diameter in reference of the Moon and Mars. Human existence is suggested through the constructions taking place on its surface. The unamed digital celestial body evolves in cyberspace based on characteristics of politics, economy, culture, human activities and climate changes in the real world. The principles embody the realistic, prospecting, absurd and unreasonable aim of producing an observable utopian world, which lives side by side with the real world.
The way the audience looks at this artwork refers to the investigation of the celestial body: a few telescopes will be displayed on-the-spot so viewers can look at the details of the work, understand the utopian vision, and reverse questions of the real world.
